Blade directive for not repeating yourself

If you keep doing the same formatting of the data in multiple Blade files, you may create your own Blade directive.

Here's an example of money amount formatting using the method from Laravel Cashier.

1"require": {
2 "laravel/cashier": "^12.9",
3}
1public function boot()
2{
3 Blade::directive('money', function ($expression) {
4 return "<?php echo Laravel\Cashier\Cashier::formatAmount($expression, config('cashier.currency')); ?>";
5 });
6}
1<div>Price: @money($book->price)</div>
2@if($book->discount_price)
3 <div>Discounted price: @money($book->dicount_price)</div>
4@endif
